The Just Kind and Caring (JKC) Foundation aims at becoming the reference institution in the country to empower communities to do good through education, skills, and social dialogue.
This mission begins at home, in Rose Hill/Stanley in Mauritius to build and share with the utmost authenticity a new pathway to opportunity.
As we dare to dream big...
The JKC Foundation would like to pay tribute to a great visionary man of Rose Hill Stanley, late Dr Jaya Krishna (Jayen) Cuttaree, GCSK (1942-2018) deputy, minister and fine international diplomat who put Mauritius on the global map with pride and passion.
Proud of his modest origins, a child of Rose Hill, Jayen Cuttaree was known and loved in Mauritius and internationally for his commitment to complex international negotiations, social justice and transparency.
From bringing smile and hope to ordinary citizens to team success, we thrive in giving space to every individual who can make a difference in a community, regardless of who they are or what they believe.
Should it be through reading classes, sports, art, STEM or women empowerment, our immediate focus is to promote collective intelligence, and by doing so bridging the social divide accross the country.
Rose Hill is one of the most underprivileged areas of the country, with the highest number of ZEP schools and untapped social issues for the young generation, from school dropping, unemployment to drug addiction. These issues can only be tackled by reconnecting the child to safe and creative environments from early childhood stage. Through our partnership with the US award winning education player, KitKit School, we are convinced to impact positively in literacy and social harmony in ZEP pre primary and primary schools. Your support is instrumental in making change happen!
At JKC Foundation, we believe all children deserve access to high quality learning experiences.
Through our partnership with US award winning KitKit School, we help children in underprivilege areas build foundational literacy and numeracy skills, while making the learning experience more engaging. Follow us !
JKC ELabs strive to stimulate inquiry-based learning and hands on innovation in STEM, arts and design and sustainability projects.
Designed as afterschool activities, students learn alongside scientists, artists and educators at large who want to share their passion and expertise.
The JKC Foundation set in the heart of Rose Hill offers a wonderful space to connect with people in new ways and make Mauritius a better place to live.
Our focus will be placed on setting up a center for women's studies by providing empiric research and pilot projects aimed at empowering women and girls in a sustainable way. Our opportunities are unlimited if we believe in the power of learning ...
